How to use the materials
Brief instructions for using the PDF and machine-readable versions of the BSMT journal strategy.
PDF — for reading and reference
Choose the Bulgarian or English PDF version if you want to read the strategy from beginning to end, review its arguments, diagrams and recommendations, use it as a scholarly and organizational reference, follow the cited sources and bibliography, or discuss individual proposals within BSMT.
The PDF version is intended primarily for human reading.
Machine-readable — for your own AI-assisted research
The machine-readable version contains the same strategy in structured form and can be uploaded to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, NotebookLM, or another AI system that supports file-based work.
- Download the relevant JSON file.
- Upload it to a new conversation, project, or notebook in the AI system of your choice.
- Ask the AI to first understand the structure, decisions, constraints, and sources in the file.
- Then ask your own questions, make comparisons, critique proposals, verify assumptions, and conduct further research.
Recommended opening instruction for AI
Use the attached file as the primary source for this conversation. First familiarize yourself with its structure, decisions, constraints, and sources. In your answers, clearly distinguish what comes from the strategy, what is your own analysis, and what requires additional up-to-date verification. Do not treat the proposals in the document as mandatory; help me critically test, compare, and further develop them.
Example questions for AI
- Explain the proposed journal model without technical terminology.
- What are the main risks involved in launching the journal?
- What are the arguments for and against publishing in Bulgarian?
- Compare the requirements for DOAJ, Scopus, and Web of Science according to the document.
- What must be completed before the first issue is published?
- Critically assess the strategy and identify its weak points.
- Evaluate a specific proposal I have against the strategy.
- Propose an alternative model and compare it with Ivan Yanakiev's proposals.
In brief
- PDF = document for reading.
- Machine-readable JSON = working base for conversation, analysis, and AI-assisted research.
